I went ahead and did the upgraded tent option.  Mainly because I wanted power!  From what I had read, power is scarse in the main camping area.  I would love to hear more details about camping from anyone who went last year.  Water for cooking? Power for a fan? how wet was the grass?  How strict were they on camping size? Anyone stay in the tents they provided?  what was that area like?

Ive got my supplies.  I have self chargers for my cell phone.  A battery operated fan.  A cart to haul all my stuff in.  I am also trying to think through how muddy it will be if it is rainy. I will probably bring an extra tarp.

I've been wanting to know about power too, and water and all that. I'd prob assume water would be free at one of the water stations, but even showers there will cost you some tickets. Picking up all my gear within the next month, but getting a decent sized tent, tarp (because you never know how wet the ground is or if it will rain), waterproofing, still haven't decided if I want to just get a sleeping bag or if I want to go with a cot or air mattress, a cart after what I've been hearing from people who went last year lol, beer of course, a little speaker and a few other necessities.

From what I've heard, the camping size just has to be reasonable, so don't bring like a 32 person canopy tent if it's just you and a mate. I definitely wouldn't mind hearing a rundown of the DreamVille area from someone who went last year!

I camped in dreamville last year but sadly I wasn't there at the very beginning when my friends set up camp. I didn't get to see how they coordinated people to their camping locations. I did get to see that the most common practice was a group of people to create a circle with their tents facing inward. They then would have some sort of 4 legged canopy right in the middle to provide shade and even privacy. This is the ideal set up. As for water they do have a water supply but I wouldn't want to rely solely on this as its mainly for people brushing their teeth and washing hair. Yes showers do cost money (about $4 or whatever 2-3 tickets cost) As for power, people last year started to find electrical sockets on the decorations and buildings to charge their phones, but the security caught on to this and soon started checking and not letting people do this.

My question is: If anyone did group camping last year (the group of ten) how did they assign you an area and how many tents did they allow for your group.

Hope everyone enjoys this life changing experience!  ;D

10 people, they have a group camping area, and you have up to ten tents and a shelter area.
