I'm listening to Chainsmokers @ Electric Zoo right now & loving it...

Played 2 days of PS4 this weekend and listened to their set that is on the Sony network for 2 days - legit.

How about you?

So I answered my own question. :)

I am going to try this deal I found on Reddit. They seem super helpful & have offered pricing that can't be beat!

$20 for a digital flag from Luke @ University Customs

General Information / Re: tent size
« on: August 04, 2014, 10:14:47 AM »
I would say anything is possible and technically not allowed... however. We were 3 with a 6 person tent. I am thinking that it is rated for mini-people as there is no way 6 adults would have fit.

There was a ton of space and we were by far the norm or even on the smaller size of camps.

Short answer - you're fine.

North America Board / Re: Solo Camping Question
« on: July 27, 2014, 03:47:02 PM »
Hey there!

I am a natural worrier and Mom (worrying went up a thousand fold) and never ever felt unsafe at TW. I don't sleep well and found myself on my own (bathroom/drink/wandering) by myself in early AM hours - both pre-dawn and the one right after midnight with no issue. I found those around me were often way more fucked up than me and everyone was overwhelmingly rad. I don't take to people in general and even I made new friends. ;)

I want to print my own flag for our campsite this year. I did it last year but was totes day late / dollar short. :)

Given that we are now 59 days and counting I figured it would be the time to get that flag made!

Any previous experience with a company who does this?

copied from my General info post:

My wing girl found a restrictive new boyfriend, so I'm going solo as well.  Leaving Tuscaloosa, AL (U of A) and arriving pretty early, on Thursday.  Anyone interested in camping supplies check out the links below.

cart for the long walk:

say no to pickpocketing:

just to be safe, clothes and supplies lockup:

^^^^ FWIW the wagon/buggy is the *best*

We walked on average 10 miles a day from Green Zone in Dreamville to Main Stage - oy vey!

Make TomorrowWorld Better / Re: Local Staff & Contractors
« on: March 25, 2014, 12:40:36 PM »
Ditto on this:

Also, the local temporary staff that was hired for the event was HORRIBLE... Everyone I asked said they got the job by replying to a Craigslist ad. Not one single person was able to answer any of my questions about where anything was. I regularly saw staff attending DJ sets, or wandering the grounds aimlessly. The worst though were the dozen or so staff I overheard saying how hard they were 'rolling' or how much they've drank that day. I think they need a little more oversight on their temp staff.

--------> Question:
Did anyone else reply to the ID&T survey?

Hey Allyson - I am so glad to hear you are coming down. It is worth every dollar and the EzTent will certainly make your packing easier.

I haven't reached my TW planning state of mind yet but when I do I will be sure to post. For now though, and again really until it gets closer - the weather in ATL is wild (today we're at 76 and tomorrow's low is 26 FWIW) - I won't have really thought through everything. For now though I can tell you this...

You will not regret it.
TomorrowWorld was my first festival and first time camping.
If the music makes you feel alive it will be the best 3-days of your life. Since you are camping you can come early (if like last year) for the Gathering. Not sure if that is happening or not and for me I'll be skipping... although that is about 50/50 given that I would have missed Heroes vs. Villains and that was a show never to be forgotten.

I hope you are stoked and visit the Forum often. As the date gets closer I am sure it'll become active again. Cheers!!

Don't worry about being sober - use Uber - local car & driver service that has coupled with the event... they're better than Taxis anyway! <--- download the App before you get here!

General Information / Merged: Local Tips & Direction Tips
« on: September 21, 2013, 06:06:55 PM »
Hey y'all!

I just got back from a quick jaunt over to the TW site to see what my route would look like in advance.

I was helping a fellow TW'er who is organizing a large group and sent the following advice regarding his location for meeting up (OUTSIDE of the gates).

Less than 5 days!!!!

Photos It was easier to caption these in my public Google+ / Hangout space... A small preview to the Road to TomorrowWorld!

Meet Up Advice

1/2 Mile Location - Texaco Gas Station

There is a 4-way intersection that has a Texaco gas station and decent-ish parking less than 2 miles before the gates. Between the gates and the Texaco there are a handful of properties all with no pull-over or completely private land.

The Texaco sits at the intersection in the attachment. From the POV in the photo, turn left and continue for less than 1/2 a mile - fast turn onto the single-ish (really dual but not at the same time) curvy, unlit road. So yeah I'd recommend here @ the gas station. The drive from the depicted locale is less than 1/2 a mile as per the directions from the Bouckaert Farm web site (pasted below).

4 Mile Location - Publix Shopping Plaza

Your second option is the shopping plaza that contains a Publix (nice grocery) and a handful of other businesses - pizza, fried chicken fast food, etc. A little further down on the same road (visual distance) is Waffle House. All are on Highway 92/Campbellton Fairburn Rd (also in the directions below). They are clear as day and offer super ample parking as well as Publix giving you a chance to restock / get stocked. I'd almost think this would be better than the ultra close Texaco.

Source for directions:

Stay on S. Fulton Pkwy for 7.5 miles then Right on “Hwy 92 Campbellton Fairburn Rd”. Go 4.5 miles then Left on “Hwy 70 Cascade Palmetto Rd”. Go 0.3 miles then Right on “Cochran Mill Rd”. Go 1/10th mile, then right onto Browns Lake Road.

I would totally do Easy Tent... I wanted to as well but I wasn't willing to cancel my original order & re-order... So to answer your questions:

1. If you have Dreamville you can come and go
2. Yes, you can travel out to your car & off site however... having just come back from the entrance to TW (scouting the route and site) I wouldn't advise doing this. There is literally 1 grocery store (thankfully) and A LOT of curvy unlit lanes that are "dual" but really only for 1 car at a time
3. Cancel the hotel and stay in Dreamville. Traffic is going to blow chunks. I'd rather have a sleeping bag & the clothes on my back than travel it several times during the festival... and I am SO not that person!
